Instructions to make Bread Dhokla:
- Steps for making stuffing:-
- Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan.Add 1/2 tsp mustard seeds & a pinch of hing.
- Add 1/2 cup chopped onions. saute for a few seconds.
- Add 1/4 cup sweet corns & 1/4 cup bell peppers and mix well.
- Add 1/4 tsp garam masala, 1/4 tsp chilli powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric, 1/4 tsp black pepper & salt. mix
- Add 2 tsp tomato ketchup,mix everything well & turn off the gas.
- Steps for making dhokla batter:-
- Add 1 cup besan, 1/2 cup suji, 1 tsp oil, 1 tsp sugar and salt in a bowl.Mix everything well.
- Add water little by little to the mixture for preparing batter.
- Consistency of the batter should be like this.
- Cut out circles from 8 bread slices.Size of the bread circle is smaller than the size of idli mould.
- Add 1/2 cup of water in idli stand.
- Heat water on high power for 3 minutes.
- Add 1 tsp eno to the dhokla batter,mix well.
- Arrange the bread pieces in the idli mould.
- Spread 1tsp of filling over the bread circles.
- Cover the bread circles with dhokla batter.
- Cook on high power for 5 minutes.
- After 5 minutes bread dhokla is ready.
- Take bread dhokla out from the mould.Serve with tomato ketchup or green chutney.
