The ingredients needed to cook Pavbhaji:
- Use 500 gram potatoes
- Prepare 100 gram cauliflower
- Take 100 gram green pease
- Use 200 gram onion
- Prepare 200 gram tomatoes
- Get 1 Capsicum
- Use 1/2 tbsp ginger paste
- Use 1/2 tbsp garlic paste
- Provide 1/2 cup coil
- Take 2 tbsp pavbhaji masala
- Provide 2 tbsp red chilli powder
- Provide as per taste Salt
- Take 100 gram butter
Steps to make Pavbhaji:
- Wash, peel and cut potatoes into big pieces. Cut cauliflower also into big pieces. Now in a pressure cooker add potatoes, cauliflower and green peas with 1/4 cup of water and cook it until one whistle. Let the pressure come down itself. Mash the veggies with the help of a potato masher.
- Heat oil in a pot and add finely chopped onions to it. Saute it until light pink in colour. Now add ginger and garlic paste and finely chopped capsicum to it. When the onion becomes brown, add pavbhaji spice, red chilli powder and salt to it and mix everything well.
- Now add finely chopped tomatoes to it and add some water and cook it on medium heat until oil separates. Now add mashed vegetables to it and add water as required. Mix everything well. Cook pavbhaji on medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes stirring occasionally so that it doesn't stick to the bottom of the pot.
- Add butter to the prepared pavbhaji and cook for another 2 minutes until butter melts.
- Serve pavbhaji with the bread rolls roasted in butter. Also serve it with some chopped onion, tomato, coriander and lemon wedges.
