- Use chickpeas
- Get water or as required
- Use ghee
- You need oil
- Use kalonji
- Get cumin seeds

- Rinse chickpeas and soak for 8 hours or overnight.
- Add them to a pot and pour water and ghee.
- Cook the chana until soft on a medium heat.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in the pot.add sliced onion and garlic,fry till light golden.then take out.
- Add chopped tomatoes,fried garlic, onion and blend it.
- Heat 2 tbsp oil,add kalonji and cumin seeds.
- When it start to splutter add garlic onion tomatoes paste in pot.
- Add salt, turmeric powder,chilli powder, corainder powder.
- Add half cup water and saute until the mixture leaves the sides of the pot.
- Add cooked chickpeas and enough water for gravy.
- Bring it to a boil and simmer until it reaches the desired consistency.
- Add garam masala powder, cover and set a side until serve.
- Chana masala Gravy is ready.
- Serve with rice or roti.
